Ravenwood Health Case Managers have joined forces to deliver food, medicine, hygiene items, transit passes and other essentials to their clients and their families. Tried and true therapeutic entertainment resources are also provided in these care packages, dropped off at doorsteps after a reassuring phone call. We are accessing many of these items from local nonprofit partners by way of drive through, including, but not limited to Geauga County Job and Family Services, Geauga Food Banks, and Geauga County Transit.
Our generous community has also reached out to Ravenwood, donating funds to fill the gap in providing resources to those that may feel socially isolated. Together, Ravenwood and their community partners are supporting individuals that have endured these circumstances long before what many of us are new to understanding, as we are socially distant, staying home. Ravenwood currently has one support worker heading out into the community, following current Coronavirus State Order, but the rest of team is hard at work contacting our clients to be sure their needs are fulfilled.
This collaboration has resulted in delivered necessities to over 100 homes! Providing a sense of structure, safety and confidence that we are all in this together is integral as we navigate the new normal. As Ravenwood continuse to offer our services by way of telehealth resources, they are committed to providing compassionate community care during this time of uncertainty.
